Droit - L2 : Droit matériel de l'Union Européenne

Substantive law of the European Union : The goal of this course is to give you an overview of the European Union substantive law, i.e. the rules adopted by EU institutions within its areas of competences. The first part of the course will be dedicated to studying the economic aspects of the internal market and its core principle of free movement (of goods, workers, services and capital). Then, in a second part, a special focus will be put on EU's Citizens' rights, such as the right to move and reside freely in the European Union. Important European legal and current issues will be studied, such as the prohibition of discrimination or the situation of posted workers. Case studies and oral presentations by students will complete the class.
